Well, I sat down at ten tonight and got to work. I wanted to try again. This time I used a projector to get his form instead of sketching like I did yesterday. WHat a difference, eh? I also learned a few things from trying my hand yesterday, and was able to be more exact with the paint. I still would like to mess with this some more, but I recognize his glow now, and smile when I see my son. I am so proud of him! This has been a fun exercise. It’s a challenge to bring a portrait to life, but well worth the care and patience. My daughter’s portrait is going to have some real attitude, too.
